Admission requirements

As a GCE A Level (British System) applicant, you must meet 马会论坛's general admission requirements. You need a minimum of five subjects, including:

  • Two A (Advanced) levels or four AS (Advanced Subsidiary) levels with grades of C or better.
  • Math requirements are met through the GCE curriculum in the following ways:
    • Academic Math 12 is met by IGCSE or O level math
    • Pre-calculus 12 is met by AS or A level math听 听 听 听听

University credit for British system (GCE A level) courses

Select听GCE A Levels completed with a听minimum grade听of C听are eligible for transfer credit consideration.听Please see the table below for a list of the GCE A Level transfer credits that 马会论坛 currently offers. 马会论坛 does not offer transfer credit for AS and GCSE or O (Ordinary) level classes.

Please note:听the transfer credits a student receives may be impacted by the degree requirements of their program.

How to request GCE A level transfer credits

Please note:听Transfer credits are subject to change. Due to degree requirements, students in the Bachelor of Engineering program are eligible to receive a maximum of 12 credit hours of transfer credits.听Please contact听transfercredits@dal.ca听or speak to an听academic advisor听for more information.

At present, transfer credit is not offered for:

  • Art & Design
  • Design and Technology
  • English Language
  • Hindi
  • Law
  • Marathi
  • Tamil
  • Telugu
  • Urdu and Urdu Language

  1. Confirm your offer of admission听by听paying your admission deposit.
  2. Complete the听. You can submit your completed form before your final exam results are available. Transfer credits will be listed as pending on your academic record until an official听GCE certificate is received.听
  3. You must arrange for a GCE certificate to be sent to the听Registrar鈥檚 Office听directly from the examining board (i.e. CIE Pearson, EdExcel, etc.) as soon as it is available. Final exam results submitted directly from a secondary institution are also acceptable.听

Deadline: Transfer credit request forms must be submitted before you complete your first semester at 马会论坛.

Processing time:听4-6 weeks.
