Multi鈥慒actor Authentication (MFA)
MFA is聽required聽for all Dal accounts. MFA is a security authentication method that requires you to聽provide 2 or more pieces of evidence聽(or factors) to a login. The evidence is a security code or confirmation provided via a聽phone call,聽text message, or聽authenticator app.
Passwords alone aren鈥檛 enough to protect us online. Cybercriminals can often guess or steal passwords. MFA means聽adding an extra verification step to your password,聽effectively stopping cybercriminals at the front door. Our MFA service gives you an extra level of security when accessing your Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., OneDrive, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).
