马会论坛 Legal Aid Service
The 马会论坛 Legal Aid Service has been in operation since 1970. It's the oldest clinical law program in Canada and the only community law clinic in Nova Scotia. Third-year law students can participate in an internship for credit at the Dal Legal Aid clinic, getting real-life experience with community outreach, education, organizing, lobbying, and test case litigation to combat injustices affecting persons with low incomes in Nova Scotia.

Technology & Innovation Law Clinic
罢丑别听initio聽Technology & Innovation Law Clinic helps technology startups seeking early stage legal information,聽while training law students to act and advise in innovation and startup聽matters.
The students working in the clinic will benefit by learning the unique nature of startup companies, how to engage in the practice of startup law, and how to use technology to provide more efficient and effective services so they can hit the ground running when they graduate from law school.
Internship Opportunities聽
The Schulich School of Law offers funding for a number of paid summer internships in many different types of organizations in Canada and around the world: international聽non-governmental organizations聽(NGOs),聽think tanks,聽businesses,聽governments, and聽charities聽are just a few examples.聽 These work placements are a great way for students to explore potential career paths, gain experience, apply legal knowledge in the workplace and make valuable connections.
Mooting
Every year, our students have an opportunity to practice their skills at competitive moots across Canada and internationally. Each team puts months of dedication and hard work into preparing for competition. As a second and third-year student, you鈥檒l be able to participate in one or more of our mooting programs. In these moots, you鈥檒l learn and practice various advocacy skills, including persuasive legal writing, preparation of factums, proper courtroom decorum, and oral advocacy.
