Interdisciplinary Studies of the Ocean
The research mission of the Department of Oceanography revolves around developing innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to quantifying ocean change and to assessing associated societal opportunities and risks. 聽Our 19 faculty members pursue research in four major sub-disciplines: 聽biological oceanography, chemical oceanography, geological oceanography and physical oceanography.
